"In one day, three more names appear on www.odmp.org, now totaling 176. There are 11 more days in this year. At the average of 1 lost officer every 2 days, there could be 5 more names appear, taking the total over 180 fallen brothers and sisters. I pray that none will be any  I currently know or have had the pleasure to meet. If there ever was a time, more so now than ever, we should center focus on Officer Safety. Providing the best training of the three S's, and that being Simple, Safe and Street Proven, is needed, more so important now than ever. Going
into the new year of 2008, let every cadet's and officer's soul we touch through the training we present, remain here on earth."    Osceola, Florida Deputy Ron Kelley
