The Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) or Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) has become increasingly popular over the last several years. It's origin dates back two decades on the west coast. The technique has been refined over the years to do away with any form of ramming. If done properly, it is an intermediate force option that can end a pursuit. This technique should never be done without the proper training.
