Mike Carter
Chief Carter has
been with the
Sand
Springs Police Department for since 1993. In 2004, he was
promoted to the rank of Assistant Chief of Police. He has been a
certified driving instructor since 1996 and an
ALERT
certified instructor since 2002. He coordinates his
department's training which includes annual training, front wheel drive
instruction, spike instruction and the implementation of
TVI / PIT.
Chief Carter is a leader in within Oklahoma Law Enforcement. In 2000, he
was responsible for pushing through a felony eluding law through the state
house.
Chief Carter's most memorable experience with driver training includes being in
Oklahoma City at the
OSU-OKC
Precision Driving Facility at their driving facility when the 9/11 Attacks
occurred.
The Police Driving Site
