Lieutenant James
Crawford has been
with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department
(South Carolina) since 1988. He has been
a driving instructor since 1995 and a radar
instructor since 1997. Prior to his service with Lexington County, he was
a member of the United States Coast Guard. His service to his
Country led to tours in South
America, Grenada, and Miami Beach, assigned to a drug interdiction unit.

Crawford is a South
Associate with the Police Driving Website and has been active in
assisting other instructors and departments in the field of driver
training. Lexington County has over 400 deputies and many of them
have been impacted by the dedication of
Lieutenant
Crawford.
Lieutenant
Crawford's latest assignment is the implementation and training of the
P.I.T. Manuever at his agency.
