'New' tire on market

Actually have been around a while, but not in USA. See thread on Green Diamond Tires in the "vehicle maintenance, tips, products" forum of this site. Started it there because they were 'new', probably should have put it here.

Remember to see the 'maintenance tips/products' form near the bottom of the main forum page for pics and more information.

I had removed the tires and replaced them with all-seasons, and then we got some icky weather. I put the GreenDiamonds back on the car in order to give them a real world driving test. First off, the car is a 1995 Lincoln Town Car.
I drove through light snow (dusting to about 2 inches) and ice for around 50 miles. I have to say that these tires are amazing!! I was in the left lane passing the cars in the right lane (at an intelligent speed of course) with no feeling of slipping/sliding or hints of control loss. I was amazed. At one point traffic was stopping because chains were going to be required for certain vehicle descriptions. I intentionally applied hard brakes. Instead of the slick feeling and lack of braking ability, I could feel the tires grabbing the ice. I then stopped and the semi in front of me also stopped. After stopping, the semi slid to the right (due to the road crowning and ice) about a foot. I did not move.
I have to give these tires and the company that manufactures them a HUGE thumbs up!
Since they are remolds, they should not be on a patrol car and they will wear quickly in warm weather and the like. Better than a winter ice tire, but still quicker. For fleet vehicle winter use (like public works, meter readers, etc) these things are the bomb. Little to no road wear, as quiet as a regular all-season radial, and ice/snow traction that is absolutly top notch.
