There certainly are a multitude of substantially better singers and trust me, they are putting themselves out there, they just don't get the disproportionate attention because the emphasis isn't always about the quality of voice. There's no bitterness, just perpetual concern over how manufactured pop has defiled new talent development, as I've seen for many years now.
